Use Limit Orders Only!
When things are as crazy as they’re now, be sure not to send in market orders.
Bid/ask spreads are wild, and change by the second 2-5%, it’s like a roll of dice.

Excuse me, but are you not using pending orders for your trades(with SL and TP levels)?
“Pending orders”? What’s that?
And SL and TP – what are these?
Phantasmix, what is your trading platform?
“SL” means stop loss, and “TP” means take profit, these are any trade order’s options.

I know what both of these are but have never seen anyone abbreviate them like that
This month I’m using QuestraderWEB.
And I don’t “set and forget” the sell orders. I usually have targets in mind, but sometimes they aren’t reached by just a few pennies, so I generally prefer to watch the action and then sell at a price that I’m OK with.
Oh my twist of the tongue!
But it was deep and wicked blow
Hi again
Btw, I don’t know what ‘pipsing’ is either! (sounds dirty) I searched it on the internet, and there’s not much. I see that some people use it in Forex but it wasn’t clear what it means.
I think it means “scalping” but not sure. Confirm?
yes, of course it’s scalping, exactly, but bad scalping… like bad loans
and the “bad” will mean dangerous…
With the state of SKF in limbo, I don’t really plan to do anymore of the “dangerous scalping”. Just regular scalping
Do you trade stocks at all, or just options?
At this period of turmoils, i trade options only, the options on indexes.
“Sell in May and go away”, you know
Yeah, but come back in September.
In October, for the best accuracy
If this was a normal market, I’d be trying out that strategy (buy in fall, sell in early spring for maximum return), but I don’t want to have much money in the market for months.
