I started trading at 8:12 and made the last trade at 10:18am. This week has been just one record after another. Champaigne-worthy, definitely.

You are looking different when so significantly drinking your champaign ๐
My congrats!
Thank you ๐
I just hope they don’t shut down the markets and I can continue: real champaigne isn’t cheap (especially in Canada!)
Did you trade through the Armageddon?
Do you mean the markets’ bloodbath?
Yes, exactly. So did you?
No i didn’t.
As i told you, i’ve closed my portfolio in Juny, fortunately.
Right now, i’m speculating with options on TA25 index only.
I learn and trade the options strategies, i’m staying within -30/+150% during a couple of days.
I think this is the way, no more stocks, no more casual markets.
You are also on the right way, i guess, but your short instruments have limited profitability ๐
Yes, I know, there’s only 100% upside when you short a stock ๐ Double ETFs return 140-160% max.
I ordered a couple of books on the options, will try to study that.
Also opened my Forex account last night, and they gave me a free 9-page fx “dealing book”. Doesn’t look easy ๐ I’m sure options are even more complicated.
Be sure, Phanta, options are more complicated and sophisticated.
Don’t be scare from Forex, but do know: Forex is *open” 24 hours in a day ๐ ๐ ๐
There are so huge liquidity on this market, comfortable types of trade orders, myriad of opportunities and… crashes ๐
Yeah, I thought 24/7 aspect was fun ๐ Looking forward to trading at 1am LOL
What kind of profit can I expect from forex? I’m given 200x leverage – is that normal? Seems huge. So on $250 I can trade $50k – wow.
That leverage is pretty dangerous, but this is the clue for huge profits.
But you have to cut your drawdowns in time, like in stocks.
I recommend you to subscribe for SaxoBank and FXCM analytics, it’ll very useful, like to learn from *other* and different side…
I’ll start with a “paper” portfolio with FX. (I traded stocks “live” from the start, but they’re a lot more straightforward, of course).
So much money to make, so little time!
You don’t need the paper if use my links, i mean Metaquotes software.
Just open a demo and trade virtually.
“Paper trading” means exactly that, demo / virtual trading.
Having some doubts about demo training. Live trading is different emotionally, and maybe I should just start trading for real, but with very small amounts.
I’m going to exchange some US$ to CAD$, just noticed that the rates have improved significantly, but probably not for long.
Hello, is anybody home, that trading there on paper?
๐
Am i so stupid?
I speak about one of the best trade platform with many convenience options.
Phanta, “convenience” is the keyword ๐
For the other side, you’ll save the forest if will use Metaquotes software instead of paper trading.
Argh, “paper trading” means “not trading for real”. It’s not trading on actual physical paper.
“Paper trading (sometimes also called “virtual stock trading”) is a simulated trading process in which would-be investors can ‘practice’ investing without committing real money.”
If they don’t shut down the markets and the Internet, I’ll sign up with Metaquotes on Monday, I promise.
Without any etymological research , “paper trading” means for me simulating a trade on physical sheet of paper before the real trade.
Good night!
I’ve never done it on an actual piece of paper. My trading journal is an Excel file.
Again, thanks for pointing me to Metaquotes.
I’m so anxious about Monday! I think the drop will be spectacular.
