Questrade Promotion – $50 Rebate
If you were considering Questrade (a Canadian discount broker), now is a good time to sign up:

This is the only brokerage I personally use and recommend. I’ve used TD Ameritrade and CIBC previously.

Ha, you’re the third person to say their name is stupid 🙂 It sounds a lot like “sink or swim” and has a bit of a negative connotation.
I’ve been looking at TOS for awhile, but every time I’m put off because their commission structure is confusing, and when I try to calculate based on my past trades, I come up with approximately $9 per trade. This just doesn’t compare with the $4.95 I’m paying now.
However, they do offer ProphetCharts. Not sure if it’s included or is an extra feature. I’d love to have ProphetCharts, though I’m quite enjoying Questrade’s software.
Are you using ‘offline’ software also, like MetaStock?
I use Questrade’s QuestraderPro and their online version QuestraderWEB which is quite a bit simpler, but still nice.
What do you use, R.?
I have Metastock, Omega Tradestation, Welth-Lab, Amibroker, and several clones of Metaquotes.
