Overall, I think we’re headed down after this spike: too many important supports broken, with no immediate happy catalyst in sight. Are the corporate earnings growing? Not unless you’re supplying munitions.

Wonder if AAPL conference will have any effect on the techs.

I always try and ask…. how are the lemmings going to be wrong. Treasury isn’t saying “Bail out” It’s “Backstop”. Things will be somewhere between what the “Bears are saying” and the “bulls”

The Model for a Thursday sell off, into a Monday tuesday capitulation, is a Neutral Friday…..

And Pimco saying “Debt Tsunami”, which Bill gross was back peddling on his saying it, on friday…..

And Get this, Bill Gross has been involved in the FNM FRE bail out talks.

Any commodity positions I take will be for a trade only. I think they’re still in a downtrend overall, and have short targets in place. So I’m going long X now, then it reaches my target and I short. Same with MOS, that’s why I chickened out – didn’t think I caught the correction right.

As for hyperinflation, I’m now having my doubts – haven’t decided if we’re going to have hyperinflation or deflation. Don’t think anyone can say with certainty.

People are bi-polar on the FRE/FNM issue. It’ll be curious to see the reaction on Monday. This is like watching a soap opera. I’ll just ‘let the market tell me what to do’.

Look at First recovery, as opposed to early cycle. Transports, coal… materials.

but if I could convince you out of the “hyper-inflation” perma bear trade….There just aren’t enough new Dollar Bears.
And the Treasury says “back stop” not bailout. They have been all over the world trying to figure out how to keep the international investors in the fanny freddy game… and that is what they will do.

Materials isn’t a “currency trade” it’s going to be more an international growth trade.

I’m not sure how much I’d chase… we could still see some nervous nellies and boogymen next week…. and some of the big players coming in trying to “crush” the market.

You know how I am, “Don’t chase”…… and just look for your opportunities.

Agriculture, Industrials….. You know how long it has been since someone talked about industrials.

All commodities should be up huge on Monday, so oversold. Trying to figure out where I’ll get the most bang for my buck.
