He had a privileged childhood and no doubt his father’s connections helped him. You can dispute that all you want, but unless you’re Warren yourself neither of us can present proof. I had a glimpse of how business and politics operate in the U.S. (not from the news, first-hand encounters and observations) and they’re very closely tied.

Before you say “he’s got all those billions and you don’t”, I’ll add – good for him for using the situation to his advantage. Not everyone is capable of that even when they’re handed everything. He’s probably both lucky and good (at investing).
