"A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain." Robert Frost

Time and New Habits

I was putting my earrings on this morning and thought that I spend almost a minute on it, or at least 30 seconds. I do it every day, which means the task takes up 182.5 minutes or roughly 3 hours per year.

Strange to realize that something so mundane takes so much time.

Quick point in all of this — if there’s a new habit you want to acquire, or an old one you want to kick, just a few minutes a day spent on the task can really add up over time. Slow and steady wins the race :)

I’m forever “going to start meditating”. Years, I’ve been meaning to do it for years! Am I really that busy that I can’t set aside 5 minutes to do it?
