I’ve been planning to add Stripe to some of my ecommerce websites for some time now, but just couldn’t bite the bullet. Finally decided to do it and went to check the basic fees  — which are reasonable and in some instances are better than those of Paypal (namely, on-site card processing).

But I was unpleasantly surprised by Stripe’s order reversal / refund / chargeback policy. Call it whatever you want, but if the customer returns the item and you issue a refund, Stripe does not refund the original processing fee. That can be a large chunk of change depending on what you sell.
